“Did you see that!? I was really swimming just now, right!?”
Amane runs up to me, catching her breath as she brushes back her wet hair.
Ever since that accident, Amane has been too scared to go into the pool by herself.
Even so, she keeps inviting me and tries over and over to overcome her fear of the water.
“Hey, were you really watching?”

Before I could reply, Amane stepped closer to me.
Water droplets trickled down her body, and her swimsuit clung tightly, showing off every curve.
Our eyes met—
“Urp!?”
Amane let out a tiny burp.
Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, which only made her look even cuter.
“S-sorry… I guess some air came out of my mouth…”
It seemed the air we’d pumped into her earlier had traveled up from her stomach while she was swimming.

Amane’s belly was swollen, looking almost like she was pregnant, though it was just full of air.
We’d used a new air pump that had just come out, turning her stomach into a sort of floatation device.
With her body now buoyant, even Amane—who couldn’t swim at all—could somehow stay afloat.
But every time she burped, the air escaped right away.
After hesitating for a moment, I pulled out an anti-reflux device that came as part of the pump set.
“Huh? What’s this—candy?”
Amane stared at it curiously.
I gave her a quick explanation and had her swallow it.
“Gulp… Will this really help me swim better?”
She tilted her head as she looked up at me. For some reason, the way she did it looked awfully cute.
I took out my phone and opened the app to control the pump.
Beep.
“Urp!?”
Another tiny burp escaped Amane—but that would be the last one.
Inside her stomach, the device expanded and kept any more air from leaking out through her mouth.
I swiped my finger along the screen again.
Beep.
“Eh!? Y-you’re adding even more!?”
A soft mechanical sound followed. Amane’s belly swelled in an unnaturally dramatic way.
“If we put in more air, you’ll float even easier,” I explained.
“O-oh… okay… if you say so…”
She looked uneasy and hugged her stomach tightly with both hands.
Gurgle… grrgle…
“Ugh… oww…”
Her belly made heavy noises—way too loud to be just air moving around inside.
Maybe everything inside was getting pushed back up?
Maybe I should have given her an enema first so she’d be empty…
“N-no, um… actually—it’s nothing.”
Amane turned away with watery eyes and fell silent, biting her lip hard.
She’d always been clumsy like this since we were little.
“Kehh… kehh… ugh… haah… haah…”
Her shoulders shook with small sobs mixed in.
I’d never seen a girl’s stomach get this big before.
“Gagh… blehh…”

Drool dripped from her mouth as she desperately clutched her swollen belly.
Her fingers dug into the fabric of her swimsuit.
“Guh… guh… fuu… fuu…”
Her stomach was so distended it looked like she was nine months pregnant, and the seams of her swimsuit were stretched to their limit.
“I-I’m… okay…”
With trembling steps, Amane slowly entered the pool.
